Life can be a struggle at times. While you may have successfully navigated through previous difficulties, it is not uncommon to have intensified problems arise. Therapy can help reduce the weight of whatever challenges you are going through. When you struggle with something that you can’t seem to change, it is so important to get skillful guidance and support.

We can work together to help you develop effective coping skills that can provide balance and restore calmness when you feel stuck in an impossible situation. I have treated adults, children, adolescents, couples, and families from diverse socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds with a variety of presenting problems, ranging from anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, marital/relationship difficulties, parenting, sexual identity, and phase of life issues.

My personalized approach incorporates various therapies that best fit whatever struggles you are going through. I use an eclectic mix of research-based modalities and interventions including but not limited to, Person-Centered, Family Systems, CBT Solution-Focused, Mindfulness, and Child-Centered Play Therapy. I have specific training in Trauma Resilience Model (TRM), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). These therapeutic techniques work with the neuropathways in the brain to relieve stress and open ways for paradigm shifts that release individuals from the negative complications of their trauma.

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I earned my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy and a specialization in Psychological Trauma. I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) and a current board member of the Ventura Chapter (VC-CAMFT).

I meet my clients where they are at, with empathy and unconditional positive regard. We can work collaboratively to help you become aware of your internal dialogues, gain insight, and unlock your strengths so that you can work through emotional obstacles that are prohibiting you from getting back on the path of wellness and keep moving forward.
