Josephine Koger, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
LIC #127799

(805) 494-1414

I have extensive experience treating adults, couples, and adolescents from diverse
cultural and ethnic backgrounds with a variety of presenting problems ranging
from anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, bipolar disorder, and grief
and loss.

I have a personalized integrative approach which incorporates various
researched-based modalities and interventions that best fit what struggles my
client is going through. These modalities and interventions include, but are not
limited to CBT, ACT, DBT, and Mindfulness. I also have specific training in
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and
Reprocessing (EMDR).

I meet my clients where they are at, actively listen and reflect with empathy and
validation. My communication style is calm, nonjudgmental, and personable. I
work collaboratively to help my clients become aware of their internal dialogues,
gain insight, and unlock their strengths so they can work through emotional
obstacles that are prohibiting them from getting back on the path of wellness.
