Malin Mckinley, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I strongly believe that therapy is a collaboration between client and therapist. Together we will come up with goals you want to work towards then we will create a treatment plan that you are comfortable with. We will build on existing strengths while developing new coping skills and ways of communicating emotional needs.
My work is deeply rooted in attachment theory and I am a strong believer in building community and finding a support network that will be there for you when you need it.
I use a wide array of modalities including, CBT, ERP, interpersonal therapy, schema therapy, behavioral therapy and solution focused therapy to decrease symptoms. When working with children and adolescents I incorporate art therapy, play therapy and other more creative ways of expression emotions and problem solve.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience working with individuals, families and children. I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s in social welfare from UCLA. I have extensive training and experience working with Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Social Phobia, Panic Disorder, PTSD and more. I also specialize in working with pregnant women and new mothers.
