Marriage and Family Therapist Registered Intern

My professional and personal goals focus on being a supportive force in family dynamics to effect healthy resolution of challenges which every family encounters at one time or another in its journey. My education, both a Masters of Elementary Education in addition to a Masters in Marriage and Family therapy, uniquely position me to offer families and their members a safe haven for discussion and support. As an elementary school teacher in various venues, I supported families with personal and school related issues presented by their children. I now use those learned and taught mechanisms in therapeutic applications. As a therapist, I bring the experience I have had working within public schools with children who present with a wide range of issues such as emotional disturbance, attention/focus challenges and alternative learning styles. I have provided therapy for a wide range of client mental health concerns, through Ventura County Behavioral Health, servicing those struggling with severe and persistent mental illness.
I am passionate about working with parents of multiples as well as those experiencing separation/divorce. I specialize in pre-conception commitment counseling and counseling for the LGBTQ community. I work with individuals, couples and groups on issues surrounding fertility, parenting and issues specific to children and families within the LGBTQ community.
I am available on weekdays as well as weekends. Please call or email me for a free phone consultation or to set up an appointment today.
